Digital arrival card now available for Melbourne airport travellers

The Australian Travel Declaration (ATD) is a digital system that lets international travellers complete their arrival paperwork before they land in Australia. Starting 26 May 2026, eligible passengers flying into Melbourne Airport on selected Qantas flights (QF154 from Auckland and QF178 from Queenstown) can use this system. You can complete the declaration up to 72 hours before travel through the Qantas app, and you'll receive a digital pass with a QR code via email to show to border and biosecurity officers when you arrive. This means no paper arrival card is needed for these flights. According to Home Affairs, the program has been popular with over 380,000 passengers since it started in October 2024.
