What you need for the 191

3 years regional residence

Required

Living and working in a designated regional area. Keep evidence throughout your 491 — tenancy agreements, utility bills, payslips.

Income above threshold

Required

Earned above the minimum income threshold for at least 3 of the 4 income years while on 491/494.

491 or 494 visa holder

Required

Must hold or have held a 491 Skilled Work Regional or 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa.

Tax records / PAYG summaries

Required

Evidence of income for each year — ATO tax notices, payslips, employment contracts.

Regional evidence

Required

Proof of living in a designated regional area — lease, council rates, bank statements addressed to regional address.

Police clearance

May apply

AFP police clearance plus any overseas clearances required.
