NSW Skills Lists for Skilled Visa Nominations

NSW has published skills lists showing which occupations are in demand and eligible for state sponsorship under two skilled visa programs.

New South Wales publishes skills lists to identify occupations that are in high demand across the state. These lists show which skilled workers NSW is willing to nominate for two permanent visa programs: the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491). The lists are organized by ANZSCO occupation codes and include occupations like Research and Development Managers and Construction Managers. Not all occupations within an ANZSCO group are eligible—only those specifically listed qualify for NSW nomination. If you're considering applying for a skilled visa sponsored by NSW, check whether your occupation appears on the relevant skills list. For the complete list of eligible occupations and detailed requirements, you should refer to the Australian Government's Home Affairs website.
