Registration opened on 1 July 2026 and will close on 29 July 2026. All participating countries have the same registration dates. To be eligible for this visa, you must first register in the ballot and be randomly selected and invited to apply.

After the registration period closes on 29 July 2026, the Department will conduct random selections from registered applicants during a selection period. According to Home Affairs, the ballot status will show as Active (registration open), Closed (registration ended, selection pending), or Expired (selections finalised).

If you are a citizen of an eligible country, you should register during the open period if you wish to participate. No further registrations can be submitted once the ballot closes.
