The Australian Department of Home Affairs has announced a cost concession for Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa applications. From 1 July 2026, citizens from eligible Pacific Island nations and Timor-Leste will have access to reduced visa application fees when lodging a valid visa application.

The Subclass 190 is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory. This concession recognises the geographic and economic ties between Australia and these island nations.

If you are a Pacific Island or Timor-Leste citizen planning to apply for a Subclass 190 visa, you may benefit from lower costs from the specified date. To find out your exact visa cost, use the Visa Pricing Estimator tool on the Home Affairs website. Processing times vary, so check the visa processing time guide tool for current estimates.
